Mason Margut, piano

Mason Margut is a pianist and composer currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. Born and raised in Melbourne, Florida, Margut went on to study with Marcus Roberts at Florida State University, where he received his Bachelor of Music Performance degree in 2018. After graduation, Margut was a fellow with the Steans Music Institute at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago under the direction of Billy Childs and Rufus Reid. Since relocating to Atlanta, he performs frequently around the southeastern U.S., with recent appearances with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Rudy’s Jazz Room (Nashville), Savannah Music Festival, and Jacksonville Jazz Festival.
